Oakglen Kennels
is situated amidst three acres of woods including many mature Oaks. We have thirty
indoor/outdoor dog runs. Each has an inside pen connected by a doggie door to an
individual 12 foot, outside run. The inside pens are heated during cold weather
and stay comfortably cool in summer. The outside portion is roofed over to
protect the dogs from sun, rain and snow. Dogs are housed individually but
we do have pens that will allow multiple dogs from the same family to stay
together.
We also offer a small area for cat boarding. All cats are housed
indoors.
TIPS FOR BOARDERS
- You are welcome to bring your own food, please put the food in a sealable container. Label the food with your pet's name & feeding instructions.
If you prefer we will provide Summit brand Pet foods (available at Global Pet Foods). Summit is an all natural product made in Canada.
- If your pet is on medication, please make sure that the medication is
clearly labelled with your pet's name and prepare clear instructions for its
use.
- Your pet may enjoy bringing some toys, but, raw bones are
discouraged.
- We can provide blankets or you may bring bedding with you but any
bedding must be totally and easily washable. Please note that we use lots of chlorine bleach in the doggy
laundry.
